10 recommended best practices to achieve loyal users in Apps

#1 With the more traffic sources you work the better.

Where do your users come from? How do they come to know your App? With the more traffic sources you work then you will be able to measure your results to know which one have the greater ROI on your campaign. Sources: mobile web, apps, Ad Networks, Social Networks, Blogs, Email, Press, QR codes, etc. Benefits: Reach a broader audience; reduce your cost per user without flooding the network with the same advertisement.

#2 Focus on loyal user acquisition.

Establish the characteristics of a loyal user for your mobile business: register, purchase, sharing on social networks, video, etc. Know the number of loyal users by source and its acquisition cost. Follow these simple steps: Automate the loyal user tracking, use segmentation, identify traffic sources which bring loyal users and focus investment on these sources. Analyze the development of your loyal user in the app (it’s all about measurement!!)

#3 Greater control on organic downloads.

User who proactively search your app in app’s stores rankings and download it are the ones you should have to identified and recognize since they will tend to become loyal users. So, achieving a good app positioning in the rankings will benefit the number of organic downloads you can get. Among others, the metrics which most positively position your app in a ranking are: number of downloads, opinions, comments and app use.

#4 Choose category and set objectives in the rankings.

Which category best adapts to your app? Which is the optimal position on that ranking? The answer should be: the one that gets me most loyal users with the least acquisition cost.

#5 Define user Life Time Value.

#6 Define Conversion Cost.

Determine which is the conversion cost objective for a certain volume of users. Is important to know which are the better days/hours to launch an acquisition campaign to achieve the best ROI.

#7 Track advertisements to measure performance based on downloads.

Measure which advertisements, creativities and traffic sources generate more downloads. Do not solely rely on CTR metrics go a step beyond onto DTR and to the app event that you want to target as conversion objective.

#8 Try different creativities and images.

Test different advertisements and measure which generate best traffic.

#9 Choose an appealing title and app description.

This is important because it will also affect how users search your app in different stores.

#10 Communicate with your users.

The use of Push notifications can become in the best communication tool with your users but only with a good communication strategy.

We have really good news for this release. We have included events management directly in eMMa. So, Do you want to know how many times do your users visit which page? Or how many times do they click this or that button? What about how many times is your app closed?

eMMa is proud to present “Events”, a simple way to manage all your events from your app users.

Just add one line [track event: EventName] and let the magic do the rest!

From there on, you’ll be able to filter any report or any campaign for every event.
